Yesterday I photographed a wonderful couples engagement photographs. I often photograph weddings in Hunter, Tannersville, Windham, The Full Moon Resort and Mohonk Mountain House. Every time Aperture Photography a photograph a wedding or engagement session I find new places of beauty to add to my collection of places to take my brides and grooms. The thought of a Catskills wedding or engagement session trills me. I cannot help but look forward to creating great photographs for my customers. This was fun ! I just love late 1900's and early 1900's buildings. Shooting weddings with the vintage buildings and wonderful period colors stir my creative juices. Don't get me wrong I love country and mountain scences, but a change keeps a photographer fresh. Aperture Photography and more importantly the bride and groom get photographs that are stunning. You have heard it many times " It's all in the details. They are so important to telling the story of a wedding. The really pull a wedding together. I find the time when the bride is not available to be photographed. Wedding photographers must be efficient and experience matters. The time is their to get great shots without missing a thing. . A macro lens is very important I use a 100mm f/2.8 IS macro. Rings, flowers, shoes and family keepsakes all make good detail shots. If prefer natural light when I have it. But you can get great shots without it.

I will be photographing a wedding at West Point. No place is like it. The Cadet Chapel is majestic and the Old Cadet Chapel brings you back in time. The Cadet Chapel and It's views that are incredible and history that fills volumes of books and basically tells the story of our country. Photography at a West Point Wedding is a more formal affair with time and conduct. strict codes of t than most weddings, but at the reception the Cadets can really cut it loose. The locations overlooking the Hudson take your breath away.

The reception will be at The Thayer Hotel. Although I have shoot many wedding at West Point I still get butterflies when I go through the gates.
